What better way to honor and celebrate than to have a sweepstakes of heroic proportions? That’s right – to celebrate City of Heroes®’ birth month, we’re giving away a prize a day for the entire month of April, and it couldn’t be much easier to win! All you have to do is log into City of Heroes® or City of Villains™ (doesn’t matter which) once each day – it doesn’t matter for how long – and you’ll be eligible to win the prize for that day. City of Heroes ® 2 Year Anniversary Sweepstakes Official Rules and Conditions

ENTRY

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

A prize a day will be awarded for the month of April in celebration of The City of Heroes® 2 Year Anniversary. To enter, players must log into the City of Heroes® or City of Villains™ game client once a day (for no specific amount of time), between the hours of 12am (EST) and 11:59pm (EST) to be automatically registered to win that day’s prize. Out of all those eligible, one winner will be randomly chosen each day to win designated prize. Visit the Prize Calendar for information on what prizes will be given away on what dates.

Alternate method of entry: You may also enter by postal mailing a 4x6 postcard each day during Sweepstakes Period to be eligible for the prizes being awarded that day. Postcard should include your real name, game account name (the name you log into the game with, the calendar day for which you are entering, your age, email address and a contact phone number. Postcards should be mailed to:

Sponsor, in its sole discretion, can disqualify, from this Sweepstakes and any other contest conducted by Sponsor, any person who, in Sponsor's reasonable suspicion, tampers with the entry process or the operation of the web site, or who otherwise violates these rules or any of part of the City of Heroes User Agreement or City of Villains User Agreement. The use of scripts or any automated system to enter is strictly prohibited. Sponsor has the right to terminate, suspend or modify this Sweepstakes, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice, if, in Sponsor's judgment, the Sweepstakes is altered, corrupted or cannot be completed as planned due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or other conditions beyond Sponsor's control, or at Sponsor’s reasonable discretion. Incomplete entries are invalid, and players with incomplete entries will be disqualified.

ELIGIBILITY

To enter the Sweepstakes, as of April 1st, 2006, (a) you must be 13 years of age or older, (b) you must have Internet access and an email account, (c) you must be a resident of the United States (excluding the State of Rhode Island, and excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, military installations and commonwealths) or Canada (excluding Quebec) (Canadian residents will be required to answer an additional mathematical question in order to claim their prizes), and (d) you must be a current City of Heroes® or City of Villains™ subscriber (meaning you must have an active account). Employees of each Sponsor, each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising, promotion and publicity agencies and members of the immediate families (defined as parents, children, siblings and spouse, regardless of where they reside) or households of such employees are not eligible. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited, restricted or taxed by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

DURATION

The Sweepstakes begins on Saturday, April 1st, at 12:00am (EST) and ends at 11:59pm (EST) on Sunday, April 30, 2006.

SELECTION OF WINNING ENTRIES

The winning entries will be determined by random drawing based on information pulled each day from all eligible entries received. Winners will be notified via e-mail and/or phone and announced on the City of Heroes® and City of Villains™ web sites no later than Friday, May 5, 2006. The odds of winning this Sweepstakes depend on the total number of eligible entries.

If Winner cannot be contacted at the email address associated with their PlayNC master account, or is contacted and does not respond by signing and returning to us for our receipt within the time indicated on the documents, an Affidavit of Eligibility (or, in Canada, a Declaration of Compliance with Sweepstakes Rules) and Liability/Publicity Release, or refuses or is ineligible to accept a prize, the prize may be awarded to an alternate randomly chosen entrant on or about May 2nd, 2006. Any prize not claimed by one alternately chosen winner will not be awarded. Prizes are not transferable. No substitution of prize for cash or other goods and services is permitted, except Sponsor reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of approximately equal value. Taxes on prizes (including, without limitation, income or withholding taxes), if any, are the sole responsibility of the individual winners. If a winner is under 18 or a minor in his or her state/providence of residence, his or her guardian must also sign the applicable release and documentation.

Winners will have their first and last name along with their state of residence posted on the City of Heroes® and City of Villains™ web sites (http://www.cityofheroes.com and http://www.cityofvillains.com ). To showcase our members of the game community, winners who have reached the age of 18 may be asked to answer some questions, provide personal information or to send Sponsor a personal headshot photo. This information will be used to recognize the winner on the pages of http://www.cityofheroes.com and/or http://www.cityofvillains.com, but is not necessary to claim prize. The winner can decline to provide any or all such information.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

By entering into the Sweepstakes, (a) you agree to all of the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and Conditions, (b) you agree that Sponsor may post your user or screen name and hometown on Sponsor’s website and in any and all publicity and advertising for Sponsor, this Sweepstakes or other promotions by Sponsor without any further attribution, notification or compensation to entrants, except where prohibited by law, and (c) you agree to be contacted by Sponsor or its agents by telephone, mail or e-mail..
