The 1st Annual Architect Awards

It is with great pleasure that Paragon Studios™ and City of Heroes® would like to announce the 1st Annual Architect Awards, to be hosted at this year’s Hero-Con!

With the introduction of the Mission Architect, City of Heroes set a new standard for customization in MMOGs and with over 50,000 active arcs and 200,000 submissions, Mission Architect has rapidly become one of the most exciting features in City of Heroes.

The Architect Awards were created to recognize and honor outstanding achievements in Mission Architect, celebrating both Arc and Architect, and we hope this recognition will continue to promote this truly revolutionary feature and re-define how games are developed and enjoyed.

This year’s awards will have a total of 6 categories, with 5 of the categories eligible for player submissions:

  1. Best Hero Arc - The best Hero arc created in Mission Architect

  2. Best Villain Arc - The best Villainous arc created in Mission Architect

  3. Best In-cannon Story - The best arc that builds on and enhances the existing lore of City of Heroes in Mission Architect

  4. Best Original Story – The best arc not based upon previously published City of Heroes lore or characters.

  5. Best Enemy Group – The best all around enemy group in an arc, based off of powers, costumes, themes and story. Must declare the name of the Enemy Group in the description.

The final category, Arc of the Year, will be selected from all of the submitted arcs for the other five categories.

Nominees will be announced on Thursday October 22, 2009, with the final winners to be announced at Hero-Con, Saturday October 24, 2009.

Winner for Arc of the Year award will receive the following prize package:

  • 1 Sapphire HD 3650 512MB GDDR3 Video card
  • 1 Logitech G330 Headset
  • 1 Razer Lycosa Keyboard
  • 1 Razer DeathAdder Mouse
  • 1 Razer Destructor Mousepad

5 Winners for the remaining 5 categories will receive the following prize package:

  • Winner for Arc of the Year award will receive the following prize package:

Submission Information

Arcs must be submitted by October 11, 2009 via email to CoH_ArchitectAwards@paragonstudios.com and follow a specific entry format. Any entry that does not follow the entry format will be disqualified.
