Character Transfer Tutorial

Are you looking for a new home for your Hero? Perhaps your Villain needs new opportunities to take advantage of?

For whatever the reason, now you can move characters from one server to another via the in-game Character Transfer service! Below is a step by step tutorial to using this feature.

1. Log in to the game using your City of Heroes account.

2. Select the server on which the character you want to transfer is located.

3. You will now see the character selection screen.

4. Select the character you wish to transfer.

5. At the bottom of the screen you will see two buttons - Buy Server Transfer and Buy Rename Token.

6. Click the Buy Server Transfer button

7. The Character Transfer Warning window will appear. Please read this before continuing. To continue, click the Use Token button or click the Cancel button to return to the character selection screen and cancel the purchase.

8. After clicking the Use token button, the transaction is initiated, and you will see the following message.

9. Once the transaction is completed, you will see a final confirmation message.
